In the wake of my recent statement about the 2016 Curitiba incident, a representative from the DAMARU crew has responded publicly. To maintain full transparency, I am addressing their claims directly.

First, let me be precise on one point: The representative is correct that a final contract was not signed. My use of the word “canceled” referred to the complete breakdown of what I considered to be serious booking negotiations. I acknowledge this language could have been more exact. However, this point is a semantic distraction from the core issue.

The core issue has now been publicly confirmed by the DAMARU representative themselves. In their own response, they admitted that the 2016 incident was a factor in their perception of me. They stated my behavior “only adds up to what we previously knew about you (the 2016 incident).”

This admission proves, unequivocally, the entire point of my original statement. A nine-year-old, baseless rumor is alive, spreading, and actively influencing my professional opportunities in 2025. They have confirmed this fact themselves.

Most seriously, their response included a defamatory and baseless accusation that I threatened another artist. Let me be unequivocally clear: This is a malicious and complete fabrication. I have never threatened to blacklist any artist. This is a classic and desperate attempt to deflect from the real issue—that they acted on gossip—by assassinating my character. I will not stand for it.

My original statement was not about creating drama. It was, and remains, a call for professionalism and truth. It is a stand against the power of gossip to harm an artist’s career. The nature of their response has only highlighted why such a stand is necessary.

I will not be engaging further in public comment threads. This statement is my final word on the matter. I will continue to defend my name and advocate for a scene where an artist’s work and professional conduct are valued above rumors.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Samuel Parandroid
